The challenge

How can data help us understand the causes of and solutions to inequality?

Seabourne was key to the Global Women in Power analysis. They helped us to develop the methodology, capture the data and display the results. Our launch at the United Nations in 2017 couldn't have happened without them.

Racial, gender and health equity are amongst the most urgent social issues we face. Disparity between the haves and the have-nots is increasing, and we all suffer the consequences. Effective policies depend on accurate data to improve understanding of where inequality comes from, as well as evidence-based strategies proven to work.

Our experience and understanding of equity issues is deep. We've developed a unique index of global gender power in public service for the Wilson Center. Our work with Kaiser Permanente has focused on the health equity challenges faced by 64 million people across the country. We continue to explore new analysis and visualization tools to improve our understanding of equity.
