Environment & Climate Change

We have helped the World Resources Institute visualize the current state of emissions and policy implications of future impacts. We developed Stacks, a new approach to using mesoscale weather modeling to predict where and how green house gas emissions will spread globally.

The challenge

How can data inform policy repsonses to a changing climate?

Seabourne gave us the tools we needed to inform policy discussions happening at the 2017 Paris Summit.

Understanding the impacts of our changing climate is one of the greatest data challenges we face. The problem is two fold: we must have an accurate picture of the current state of the climate, as well as projections for how future emissions will change the climate.

Our work on climate data is diverse. We have helped the World Resources Institue visualize the current state of emissions and policy implications of future impacts. We developed Stacks, a new approach to using mesoscale weather modeling to predict where and how green house gas emissions will spread globally. Our current projects focus on improving the accuracy of predictive models for future climate change.
